Ye Olde
Talbott Blog

Philosophy

As I’ve been planning the relaunch of this weblog, there has been one verse that keeps coming back to mind:

“The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition…”
(2 Timothy 2:24-25a)

So while I’ll talk about the family, post pictures, link to funky things I find on the web, etc., I’ll also seek to challenge pre-conceived notions about the world, and provoke discussion on alternate views of the status quo. All while trying to be kind, patient, and gentle – tall order, eh?

Of course, this assumes that anyone other than my family will read this blog (hi Mom!), but if nothing else I’m sure I’ll learn a lot by just writing down some of the things I reflect on throughout the course of a day. And perhaps someday my children will read this, and get another perspective on their father’s worldview.

I hope you’ll come along for the ride, and I hope you enjoy it, too. Of course, I’m always ready to learn something myself, so please feel free to drop me an email anytime at nathaniel@talbott.ws if you have any insights for me.

Thanks for your time!
