I made it in one piece to San Diego around 1430 local time, and have been geeking out ever since. It’s been great to see a lot of familiar faces from past conferences, plus put faces with new names in the community. I just got back from dinner with 32 other conference attendees, and I’m just chilling in my room for a few minutes. Shortly I’m headed back out to the lobby to hang out with my Powerbook for awhile – there are good hacking hours left in the day yet.
Several people have asked me about test/unit2, and as I just told Jim Weirich, I’ve continued to cogitate over it since last year, but I want to make sure that it’s going to be a lot better before I go messing with it too much. Plus I’m trying to get back my CVS commit privileges so I can start applying some patches… hopefully that won’t take too much longer.
Anyhow, this is shaping up to be a really great conference, and I’m looking forward to what the next few days have in store. My goal is to post at least once per day, so we’ll see.
Oh, one last thing – I’m starting a “RubyConf 2006 in Chicago” campaign. I’m sure David Alan Black would love to hear from you about it…
